Language - Set 19

Activities:

Let’s learn to understand and use words from these themes:

    • Sports (e.g., tournament, championship, defence, offence)
    • School (e.g., teamwork, persistent, to respond, to inquire)
    • Music (e.g., tempo, melody, acoustic, electric)
  • Read a book about musical instruments and identify the different instruments together (e.g., harp, violin, tuba). Ask your child which instrument he or she would play.

Let’s learn to scan the text to find specific information.

  • After reading a story with your child, ask him or her about a detail and see if he or she can look through the book to find it. For example, “Where did the third little pig get bricks to build his house?”
